All About Don Stewart and his Striper Fishing Guide Trips! |
I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about my striped bass fishing business. I started fishing for stripers in 1994 following an early retirement. I got "hooked" the very first time I caught a striper and the excitement is still ever present on each trip. So much so, that I sold my ski boat and ordered a new 20 foot Falcon King boat in the Fall!
My first trip as a guide was in the Fall of 1995 and I worked part time until I joined the Catfish Bay Striper Guide Association in 1998 and made myself available as a full time guide. I upgraded my boat to a 23 foot Falcon Striper Deluxe in November of 1999 and have been working there since.
I pursued the guide business because I have always enjoyed fishing and the relationships that I have developed with my customers over the years. I get along well with most children and work hard to make their first fish a "big-un" that they will never forget.
My pledge to you is that I will do everything possible to make your fishing trip a memorable event by going out of my way to serve your group's personal expectations.
Sometimes I get excited and holler: "jerk!" but, please don't think I am calling you a name - I'm just coaching your fishing techniques. My job is making "jerks" out of nice people like you!
